Fresh Squeezed Beet and Carrot Juice
Ingredients:
1 organic beet – washed and skin peeled. Cut off the greens from the top, rinse, and also add
4 organic carrots – washed and peeled
1 chunk of fresh organic ginger peeled
1 tsp turmeric powder (you can also juice turmeric root which I recommend but the powder is in my spice cabinet so it’s always available for an add in to a juice)
1 tsp of pepper
Directions:
In a juicer, add carrots, beet and ginger. Pour into glass and add both turmeric and black pepper and give it a good stir. Sip and Enjoy.
I love this drink because it is sweet and provides so many added benefits.

Ginger is great for gut health and with the turmeric both can help naturally reduce inflammation. Black pepper is also involved because it contains piperine which allows more turmeric compounds to remain in the body, so it can be helpful. But, the key is to allow the turmeric to absorb in the gut which is how you can really reap the benefits. If you drink juice and add turmeric or take turmeric capsules, it is recommended that you have it with a meal that is high in oils and fats. I would recommend this juice during breakfast with an egg and some avocado to maximize gut absorption.
